Sourcing

Our organization and systems are designed to handle high-level global sourcing. Sourcing and vendor management are integral parts of our management system.

We have extensive experience in the large-volume purchase of plastic raw materials and, being a manufacturer of complete devices as well, we also have skills in sourcing components we do not make ourselves, such as metal and electronics components, cables, packaging and other items. In addition, we purchase services such as finishing and sterilization.

We source tools from an established network of manufacturers in Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Baltic countries, Portugal, Taiwan and China.
Our tools suppliers are carefully selected on the basis of our many years of experience and collaboration with them. We make high demands with respect to quality, reporting, documentation and delivery precision, and we maintain a close dialog with and follow up on our tools suppliers.


			Global Sourcing of Tools SP Medical sources tools from all over the world. Our own staff supervises the tool manufacturing process through frequent status meetings and follow-up visits and through weekly reporting from suppliers. Project managers from Denmark supervise the manufacture of tools sourced from Europe, and we have permanent staff in China to supervise the production of tools in the Far East. In addition, project managers from Denmark are always involved in large projects. All tools are tested, subjected to trial runs and documented locally before being approved and delivered to us for final validation.
